This weekend was the annual Blackburn family camping trip up at Carpenteria beach. We thought we would attend the festivities for the weekend with our two month old little girl. We have taken her to the beach before and she has swam in pools so we thought, why not, she is a real trooper. What we were not sure about were the trains that pass by the campsite every couple of hours. That was the unknown. That is what we were not prepared for. Some trains pass by the campsite in the evening and night and all you hear is the clickity clack of the train on the tracks. Unfortunately some trains think it real "funny" to blear their horns and make some real noise. Unfortunately we got one of those trains at 12:30 at night and again at 2:00 and Sienna was not happy! She screamed and wailed and let us (and the whole campsite) know that she was not a happy camper. We were going to stay a couple of nights but this pretty much summed up how our night was and we decided to stay only that one night. Even with the crazy night we had the next day was a lot of fun. Sienna loved the beach and took one of her longest naps yet.
Sienna enjoyed the sun
In the evening we had to wrap Sienna up real tight in her blanket so she would stay warm. She loved sitting by the camp fire. Sadly it wasn't until we returned home that we realized we did not have any campsite photos. We only took beach pictures because we thought there would be another night to take campsite photos. Oh well there is always next year.

You guys do such fun things! It's a bummer about that stupid train. People without kids just don't understand! Well, I'm glad overall you had an enjoyable time.!
Darn trains. At least you had one fun day at the beach.
Great Pictures Kim!! I love to read your stories, They are just a lot of fun~~
