Fun with Photoshop

I tend to be they type of person who doesn't like to try new things. I get in my comfort zone and like to stay there. This week I have been trying two things that are new. I really like photography and want to get better so I have been trying to take my camera off the auto settings. I have also started trying to use photoshop more. With the help from my notes (taken while I listened to my good friend Crystal), I tried more black and white pictures with a hint of color. What do you think? Next week I may even try different poses rather than my comfortable close up shot.

I love that Sienna has such a sweet smile and lets me take photos of her.

I love this shot of her. What a sweet and happy baby I have.

Those shots are amazing and I think the b&W with the color makes them even better. They gave me chills when I saw them. Great job!

Kim, these are great. I'm so impressed by your photography talent. Nicole and I have been thinking about getting a fancy-shmancy camera so we can get into artistic photography too. Eventually . . . -Dave

Getting a good camera is fun and makes your shots better, but what really helps is a photography class that can help you learn the basics of how to take a good picture.

Okay Kimmie, so here's the deal... I NEED TO KNOW HOW TO CREATE THOSE AMAZING B&W PHOTOS THAT ARE PARTIALLY COLOR TINTED!!! They are absolutely GORGEOUS and look beyond professional!!! By the way, you clearly have a new stay-at-home profession awaiting you, should you be interested. And your sweet Sienna Layla is ADORABLE!!! I can't wait to give her a cuddle when next we see each other.
Lots of Love,

She looks so cute in those pics. I'd like to venture off the auto settings too, but I am stuck there for now.
