Riley's Farm

Yesterday we went to Riley's Farm. It is a farm in the mountains north of where I live. I have heard of it before but never had the chance to go. Every fall I look forward to the crisp air, leaves changing and apple picking. Living in the desert where I live I don't have much of a fall, but I was able to have a little of that while were were at Riley's farm. If you come for a visit I will take you there. It was that cute.

We went with our friends Neil and Leilani, and their three kids.

Ryder loves Juliette and is very helpful with her. Here he helped her pick out a pumpkin to take home.

Sienna and Araia have been friends since birth. They loved all the decorations, and

they really enjoyed eating all the apples.

While there were lots of pumpkins to look at, our main reason for going to Riley's farm was to pick apples. Something I loved doing when we lived in Harvard. I am an Apple snob, and so I was really looking forward to having some fresh off the trees apples.

Even Juliette got into picking apples. Unfortunately she found a lot of rotting apples on the ground.

I had to show her were to get the good ones.

However, she thought the apples looked a lot like a ball and she would throw them to the ground while saying bol.

The ones on the ground were better for throwing.

Looks beautiful! I wish we could have joined you. I was going to visit Sarah and go apple picking with her since there aren't any real orchirds close to us, but unfortunately her apple picking season was only a couple of weeks long and we missed it. :( I sure do miss fresh right-off-the-tree apples.

Cute pics! I can't believe it, but those little girls are still growing. Sienna looks even older than she did this summer.
