Christmas Morning

We were so happy to share Christmas this year with Mimi and Papa!

We opened presents.

A very common word we heard was "MINE!" Apparently everything opened
belonged to Juliette. We are not sure where she learned that word,
and although it was funny, my mind kept thinking of ways to stop it.

Candy was the hit of the morning, especially Peanut Butter M@Ms.

Hope everyone had a Great Christmas too.

Finding our tree

We were all excited this year when we found a tree farm that would let us come and chop
down our own tree. We all searched for the best tree and were successful.

The big hit of the day was jumping in the jumper that was at the tree farm,
but after a little while we knew it was time to go home for a nap.

These are a few of our favorite things. . .

Juliette loves bags and purses, shoes, shoes and more shoes.

Oh yes, she also loves baby dolls and her silkys.

Sienna loves skirts, bracelets, dolphins
(especially this new ornament we got) and Shamu.

She also loves to make funny faces when she is done taking pictures.

What are some of your favorite things?

Gymnastics

Sienna has been taking gymnastics as well as dance, however I think we are
going to stay with gymnastics. She seems to enjoy it more.
Her favorite thing to do is balance on the balancing beams.

Someone else likes gymnastics too. It's a good thing
there is open gym that she can go to.

Here is Sienna with her teacher. She loves her teacher.

I Need a Dog !!!

After this week I am convinced I need Santa Clause to bring me a dog.

Every night this week at 11:30 Juliette cried out for me to bring her a bottle, burp her, change her and tuck her back in bed.

Kim reminds me that my pants should reside in the dirty clothes hamper or back in the drawer, even if I am going to put them back on in the morning.

And this week Sienna called her mom in the bathroom, pointed to the toilet and said " Mommy, Daddy did this! " She was referring to the fact that Daddy left the toilet seat up and she could not climb up on the cold toilet seat and could not imagine using her hands to lower it herself.

The next time it happened Sienna called me into the bathroom and said "Look what you did Daddy!" This was the first time I was scolded by my 3 year old. I now understand why women are so touchy on this topic. By the time we marry them they have 20+ years of hating toilet seats. Daddy now remembers to put the seat down or to use his bathroom in the front of the house and not Mommy's bathroom or Sienna & Juliette's bathroom.

Pumpkin Patch

Sienna woke me up today by asking if we could carve a pumpkin. We did not have a pumpkin so it meant we would have to make a trip to the pumpkin patch. I was a little worried at first because it rained real hard early this morning, but it all worked out and we found the perfect pumpkins.

I love how Juliette looks up to her sister. They have lots of fun together.

Riley's Farm

Yesterday we went to Riley's Farm. It is a farm in the mountains north of where I live. I have heard of it before but never had the chance to go. Every fall I look forward to the crisp air, leaves changing and apple picking. Living in the desert where I live I don't have much of a fall, but I was able to have a little of that while were were at Riley's farm. If you come for a visit I will take you there. It was that cute.

We went with our friends Neil and Leilani, and their three kids.

Ryder loves Juliette and is very helpful with her. Here he helped her pick out a pumpkin to take home.

Sienna and Araia have been friends since birth. They loved all the decorations, and

they really enjoyed eating all the apples.

While there were lots of pumpkins to look at, our main reason for going to Riley's farm was to pick apples. Something I loved doing when we lived in Harvard. I am an Apple snob, and so I was really looking forward to having some fresh off the trees apples.

Even Juliette got into picking apples. Unfortunately she found a lot of rotting apples on the ground.

I had to show her were to get the good ones.

However, she thought the apples looked a lot like a ball and she would throw them to the ground while saying bol.

The ones on the ground were better for throwing.
