Carpinteria 2012

We had fun again in Carpinteria. S loved splashing in the waves and playing with her cousins, J loved watching the train pass by and Steve and I loved relaxing at the beach with family.

 

I loved watching the waves surprise the fort builders. They did not expect the waves would reach them so quickly.

 

 

S and J loved the little park almost as much as the beach.

 

 

 

 

 

We enjoyed our annual Softball game. I am pretty sure my team won. S participated this year and she got a couple of hits.

A visit from Gret and Heath

 

This is how we felt when we found out Gretchen and Heath were coming to visit.

  

This is how they felt to be off the plane and not have to sit in an airport for 10 hours.

We went out to eat at one of my favorite places, Wahoos.  If you come visit I will take you there. Afterwards we went to the beach and rented bikes. S loved the bike she rode attached to her daddy's bike. We biked down to Venice Beach and people watched.

 We spent some time playing in the sand. S collected some very pretty shells.

Gret and Heath left us for a very pretty beach in Bora Bora. . .

But, they had so much fun at the Southern California beaches that they came back a week later for more. This time we took them to the Santa Monica Pier where we rode the Ferris Wheel.

We also walked down to the end of the pier. We saw several fishermen, and a pod of dolphins swimming by.

We hope you come again soon. We loved showing you around.
