Sienna 3 years and Juliette 9 months

Yesterday we took a drive to Old Town Temecula so I could take some pictures of my girls. For Sienna's first year I took pictures each month to document her growth that first year. I have tried to do the same for Juliette. This last week Sienna turned 3 and Juliette turned 9 months. I think I am a fairly good portrait photographer, but I would like to be better at capturing the moment, or capturing the girls when they are not posed. I am still learning.

I love this little girl. She warms me with her smile, and
keeps me laughing everyday with her little personality.


Juliette was a little easier to photograph. (I thought) She is always smiling,
especially if her big sister is around.



However, after a couple shots, she decided it was much more fun to try and get away.




I just feel really blessed to be the mom of these two little girls.

Happy Birthday Sienna!

My baby turns 3 today. I can't believe how fast these three years have gone. It feels like yesterday she came home from the hospital and would only sleep if she was touching someone. She has always been a cuddle bug, even from the beginning of her life.

Sea World

Ever since this experience last month Sienna has been talking about dolphins.


We decided to celebrate her birthday by going to Seaworld. Grandma Judy, Grandpa Donny and Aunt Tami came with us too. We enjoyed seeing many animals, but the Shamoo Show was the biggest hit.



Juliette even enjoyed the show. She kept signing more more.

It was a fun way to spend her birthday.

Build A Bear

Aunt Tami came to visit for Sienna's Birthday and they went to Build A Bear. Sienna got to pick out any animal she wanted. After looking and hugging several animals, Sienna decided on a light brown bunny with long floppy ears.


Then she took it over to be stuffed.


She pumped the stuffing into her bunny, kissed the heart that went into it, and then fluffed her bunny.

Birthday Party Fun

We had a little party for Sienna on Friday. Sienna and her friends ate pizza, and did an art project. Since Sienna has been so excited about dolphins and whales lately we did an art project where they made their own ocean scene, and painted fish.


Grandma Judy and Leilani helped.


Winnie helped Sierra make a beautiful ocean scene.


We opened presents and ate cake. Here is the crew waiting for the cake. This is the best shot I got of all of them.


My friend Leilani is very crafty. When I mentioned I wanted a dolphin cake she offered to make one.


She did a wonderful job and Sienna loved her cake.

We finished the night by watching the movie Barbie in a Mermaid tale. Sienna was one happy birthday girl.

Flower Girl

Sienna was a flower girl.

She did a good job and made the bride and groom happy.

She loved the attention she got when she shook the basket and made all the flowers fly everywhere.

Look what I did last weekend!

Ever since I moved to California I have heard about this great Mud Run you could do at Camp Pendleton. You run through the mud and clime over and under obstacles. Well this year we signed up for a mud run in Orange County (we didn't make it in to the Pendleton mud run). You can sign up in teams of 4. Here we are with our team Crystal and Opy next to the very coordinated and red Worthington team. Notice Fred Flinstone in the background too, I think he wanted to be apart of our team. You could dress up for the mud run, and we saw some crazy costumes.

Here we are after the race. Just a little muddy.


I learned a couple of things from this race.

1. I don't like to get dirty (So why did I do a mud run?)
2. Just because I could run 1/2 marathon a year ago doesn't mean I can run 3 miles now.
(Joyce I have a lot of work to do if we are going to run the St. George Marathon.
2. I am not as agile as I used to be.
(throwing myself down on the rocky muddy ground is not going to feel good.)

However, that being said, I am defiantly going to sign up for the Camp Pendleton mud run next year.

Lots and Lots of Family

This last month has been lots of fun. We have been spoiled by visits with family. First My mom and dad came into town on their way to Hawaii. We enjoyed spending time with them, and Sienna was excited Mimi came back to her room.

We hiked to Vernal pools, a seasonal pond.


There were beautiful wild flowers and cacti along the way.


Someone was happy to be with her Mimi and Papa.



Then a week later my sister Joyce, her husband Mike and their boys came for a visit. We enjoyed swimming in the pool, playing Wii, going to the beach and the Wild Animal Park.


Sienna loves her cousins Caleb and Dallin and "Baby Blake."


We were able to have dinner at the fire station with Steve. We rode in the Firetruck,



Had a photo shoot,




and slid down the fire slide.





For Easter we were able to go up to Grandma Judy and Grandpa Donnie's house and enjoy Easter dinner with Aunts, Uncles and Cousins.


Then a couple weeks later. . .

Surprise!

My sister Gretchen surprised me with a visit!


Sienna and Kapri were friends right away. Doesn't my girl look so grown up holding her cousin's hand and showing her around.


We also went to the Wild Animal Park.


We saw lots of animals.


and some baby birds too.






To avoid traffic we stopped at a nearby mall to have dinner and take a train ride.


We were even lucky enough to enjoy a dinner with Heath in Downtown San Diego.

We are exhausted, but we loved playing with family and would do it again anytime!
