Happy Easter

Happy Easter! We are enjoying our Easter in Colorado with my sister Joyce and her family. This morning we woke up to find that the Easter Bunny found us here. The girls were happy with their Easter Baskets and couldn't wait to break into their stash of candy.

After church we drove by the Denver Temple. We enjoyed the beautiful flowers and walking around the temple grounds. It was a good way to spend our Easter afternoon.




Sienna is so happy to be with her cousins. I haven't heard her laugh as much as I have this weekend.

April Pictures

My good camera is not working, so I have not wanted to take pictures lately, but then I realized I was missing some cute moments that I wanted to remember.

The other day we went to Disneyland, and Sienna and I decided to ride the monorail into the park while Steve and Juliette walked in. While we were waiting for the monorail Sienna was looking at the map and then she said, "So, mom where are we on the map?" She said it like such a big girl and with such a cute attitude. I can't believe my baby is almost 4.


One of my favorite things to do with my girls before bedtime is read books and cuddle. Sienna and I still cuddle as we read our books, but Juliette wants none of that. She wants to stand by the food rest while she reads and she does not want to wait for mom to read all the words. Her new phrase is, "I do it myself!" That goes for pretty much everything.

Watch out Gretchen, here comes Sienna. She loves to take pictures, and if I am not careful with where I leave my camera I will find her snapping away. Here are some of her works of art.


There seems to be a theme to her pictures. Sienna loves following Juliette around and taking pictures of her.

Swimming

Today was a hot and sunny day so we decided to go to the pool. The water was warm, and we had the pool to ourselves. It was fun to see my little girls enjoying the water.


Sienna enjoyed kicking with the kick board
and jumping off the side of the pool.


Juliette loves being in the water just like Sienna. She tries to do everything her big sister does, so I have to keep a close eye on her. I hope we are able to make it to the pool a lot this summer.

This weekend Steve and the girls planted some veggies in the backyard.










Both girls were such a big help and loved playing in the dirt that we are wondering if we are going to have to watch them so they don't dig up our garden.

Fun in the Snow !!!

I know most of you on the east coast might be over the snow, but this last week we traveled to the snow. We don't see much snow in Southern California, so last week we packed up our car and headed to Brianhead, UT.


Brianhead had a 6 feet base of powdery white snow.


The kids had fun playing in the snow, although Sienna's favorite part of the snow was the hot coco she got after the snow playtime.






Juliette loved the taste of snow. She couldn't get enough. I think all she did was eat snow.




You may remember last year, we took Sienna tubing and she cried the whole way down the hill. . .




Well she cried all the way down the hill again so she and her daddy went for hot coco at the lodge.


Steve thought Sienna and her friend Ryder looked like the kids from The Christmas Story.


Most of the time it was either too windy or too snowy to go snowboarding, but we did have a beautiful afternoon to ourselves.
