Brianhead

There are a lot of pictures, but this was a fun trip and I wanted to make sure and remember everything that we did. Brianhead is becoming one of our favorite places to visit. This is a view from the porch of the cabin where we stay. There is always so much snow.

S was so excited that her friend decided to bring her dog Max. S reminds us all the time how much she loves dogs.

Every chance she got she asked me to take a picture with her and Max.

The first day that we were there was beautiful. We enrolled S in ski school and then went to hit the slopes.
J went down the slops twice, and although she said she loved it that was all she wanted to do this year. We were just happy she tried it.

When we picked up S from ski school she was skiing down the mountain. She said she had so much fun and wanted to go again. We were so proud of her.

The second day we were there it snowed all day. We didn't make it to the slopes, but we had fun playing outside the cabin.

Keeping warm in the cabin, playing games and watching movies is a great way to end the day.

We had another fun day on the slopes, S went down the bigger mountain four times (with a little help). She did not want to stop. The last day we went tubing. It was great fun. Our girls were the last ones on the hill. Everyone else got cold and disappeared in the lodge for hot chocolate, but S and J went until our time was up and we weren't allowed to go anymore. They really surprised me this year with how much they loved the snow.

Idlewild

This last weekend we took a drive up the mountain to the little town of Idlewild. Our friends have been telling us about this place for a while now, and I can't believe we haven't gone sooner. It was a beautiful day for hiking, and our girls found many cool treasures. My favorite was the pine cone that was almost as big a J's head.

We visited the Ranger Station and the girls enjoyed petting the snake and the rabbit.

After hiking, we found a little park.

Twirling things are one of S's favorite things to play on at parks. I have never had the stomach for it, so I don't understand the thrill. I can't even watch her spin.
J is more of a climber. Someday she may hike to the top of Half Dome like her mama.

Our new favorite activity

School Performance

This last week of school S had her Christmas around the world performance. The auditorium was packed and there was standing room only. I arrived a little late so I ended up sitting with J and S's friend A on the ground. There were four Kindergarten classes so it was hard to see my little shorty. Can you finder her?

There she is, hiding behind the boy with the spiky hair.

Here she is with her teacher, who she loves.

Her friend A came along too.

Good job singing S.
